Horses sold at Texas auctions are frequently bought by kill buyers and transported to slaughter facilities outside the United States. During transport, horses may go without adequate food, water, or rest. Once across the border, they are processed in facilities not regulated by U.S. humane slaughter standards.
Many owners are unaware this is where auction horses often end up. Our goal is to provide another option.
