About CS Equine Rescue & Rehabilitation
CS Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping horses in need through rescue, rehabilitation, long-term care, and educational outreach. Our mission centers on compassion, responsibility, and respect for each horse as an individual.
We provide a safe and structured environment where horses can receive appropriate care, routine, and time to recover. Through consistent management and thoughtful handling, we work to support both physical and emotional well-being.
As a donation-supported horse rescue and equine welfare nonprofit, we are committed to rescue, rehabilitation, lifelong care, and responsible rehoming, serving both horses in need and the people who care for them.
Our History
CS Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation was founded out of a lifelong connection to horses and decades of hands-on experience working with them in a variety of settings. Over the years, our founder observed firsthand how much horses give throughout their working lives — in training programs, performance roles, ranch work, and everyday partnership with people.
Through this experience came a growing awareness that many horses, after years of service or due to changing circumstances, are left without adequate options for long-term care. Some face uncertain futures simply because they can no longer perform the roles they once filled, while others require additional time, support, or rehabilitation to remain safe and healthy.
Recognizing this need, CS Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation was established to provide an alternative: a place where horses can receive consistent care, patience, and respect, regardless of their stage of life or past experience. The organization was built on the belief that responsible stewardship extends beyond a horse’s working years and includes ensuring dignity, comfort, and stability throughout their lifetime.
Today, CS Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation continues to grow with a focus on thoughtful rescue, rehabilitation, and long-term care, guided by practical experience, compassion, and a commitment to doing what is best for each horse entrusted to our care.
Through community support and donations, we’ve been able to expand our ability to offer safe refuge, rehabilitation services, and adoptive placement support to horses transitioning out of difficult circumstances or changing roles.
